What is a priority code?
A priority code instructs the CGI to send your query to
the top of the mails. It is a method to ensure that our paying clients get preferential
and fast technical support.
There are two kinds of
priority codes:
- A recently acquired program
registration code
- A specific code for tech
support request only
The priority code is to submit a tech support request. But, without it, your query will go
into the general pool of mails and may take several days to get a reply or, in many cases,
no reply at all. If you are in no hurry to get an answer or can find it in the FAQs pages there is no need
to obtain the priority code.
How to get a priority code?
If you have registered any of
our programs in the last 15 days (30 days for Shopping Cart Professional), then the
program registration code is your priority code. Just type that into the box on the tech
support request form.
If you are still evaluating
the program, with an intention to buy it at some stage, we recommend that you buy a
priority code below and it will be mailed to you instantly. The price paid for the priority code is fully
deductible from the licence fee when you purchase the software.
You must type the priority
code into a box on the tech support request form. Please note that we do spot checks and,
if you are found deliberately giving an invalid or fraud card, the query will be discarded
outright and no correspondence will be entertained.
How much for a priority code?
The priority codes are valid
for specified lengths of time and are priced as below.
- For 30 days - $29
- For 90 days - $49
- For 6 months - $69
- For 1 year - $99
The price paid for the
priority code is fully deductible from the program licence fee, but only if you order and
pay for the software during the validity period of the code. e.g. if you buy a 30
day priority code to help sort out some technical questions with, say, shopping cart
professional, then if you buy the program within 30 days an amount of $29 will be deducted
from the licence fee for shopping cart professional and you pay only $466. If purchasing
the program beyond the 30day period there will not be a deduction.
Do I need a priority code if I have
registered a program?
If you have bought a software
in the past 15 days (30 days for Shopping Cart Professional) there is no need to buy a
priority code. Just supply the program registration code. If the program registration code
is older than 15 days (30 days for Shopping Cart Professional) you will require a priority
code.
Do I have to give the priority code
every time?
When you make a new tech
support request through the online form you must type in the priority code. It is required
for the CGI to place your query in the right mailbox. If there are follow-up mails in
response to your original query there is no need to quote the code in all messages,
provided that the subject line and E-mail addresses (both your own address and that of our
tech support person who answered your query) are not changed. The best way to ensure the
above is to use your mailer client to "reply to" the message we send you, rather
than starting a new message.
Other Info
Priority code is strictly for
pushing your query to the front of tech support queue. Payment for it does not entitle you
to free custom programming and other work that requires a service fee.
