While everyone is able to create a fully functional CGI script using our software, correctly installing it on a web server is not always straight forward. 

This is particularly so when the web server is your own and you have no experienced system administrator to set it up for you.

There are also instances where your ISP does not allow your own CGIs on the server.

If faced with either of the above situations, or you simply cannot afford the time to get the CGI working on your own server, then, you can opt to use a master CGI on WebGenie's secure server that will process the input from the page(s). The forms and pages can reside on your server.

This method is guaranteed to work, as the environment in which the CGI runs has been thoroughly tested by our staff. It will save you time and money as well as the headaches associated with setting up a CGI on your server.

Server and Internet traffic problems can temporarily affect the execution of CGIs even when your form is accessible. WebGenie Software will not be responsible for any inconvenience or financial loss incurred due to inoperative CGI or lost data. Also, if using the form to collect sensitive information such as credit card details, the sole responsibility of security rests with the owner. No record of the data mailed by the CGI is kept on WebGenie's server and hence a lost or misplaced message cannot be retrieved.
